One Year Anniversary of the 2022 Floods & the Spiraling Economic, Social & Environmental Crises

“On the one-year anniversary of the devastating 2022 Pakistan Floods, an ongoing and intensifying polycrisis continues to batter Pakistan – disproportionately impacting women and children, and reinforcing risks to undocumented Pakistani nationals living in the U.S.

This virtual briefing is led by advocates of the TPS campaign for Pakistan. Undocumented Pakistani immigrants in the US are living in dire conditions and taking on the burden of the recovery of their families and villages back home, some of which are still under water.

Featuring comments from impacted Pakistani nationals and students living in the U.S.; the Office of Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (Deputy Minority Whip; Co-Chair, Pakistan Caucus; Author, “”TPS for Pakistan”” federal resolution); esteemed physicians and scientists with policy expertise on disproportionate regional impacts across Pakistan, Dr. Alia Haider, and Fatima Razzaq.

In collaboration and cooperation with New York City Council Member Shahana Hanif (Co-Chair, NYC Immigrant Affairs Committee; Author, “”TPS for Pakistan”” city resolution)”
